Taiwan's legislation case of ending cosmetics animal testing has passed first reading

Urged by many animal protection NGOs, Taiwan's legislation case of ending cosmetics animal testing has passed first reading on Thursday May 15.
 
This legislation proposal is proposed by Taiwan Legislators: Ting, Shou-chung (丁守中)、Lo, Shu-Lei(羅淑蕾)、Tien,Chiu-Chin(田秋堇)、Chen, Yi-Jie(陳怡潔)and Lee, Ching-Hua (李慶華), and not only change the Statute for Control of Cosmetic Hygiene to ending cosmetics animal testing step by step and protecting local cosmetics products, but also change the Animal Protection Act.
 
This legislation proposal is going to be discussed in Economics Committee and Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee.
